That’s it friends.

I’ve reached what has to be the pinnacle of my crunchy lifestyle.

I made a DIY Toilet Bowl Cleaner today.

Instructions

  1. I measured out the baking soda and all the liquid ingredients into a Pyrex glass measuring cup. I then carefully poured the mixture into these squirt bottles which works ok but I’m going to try other options as it’s not 100% amazing like I thought it would be!
  2. Squirt inside the toilet bowl and scrub!

Overall, I’m really happy with this project. I’d been buying a “green” toilet bowl cleaner from Amazon but I’ve been looking for a better/cheaper option and this one fits the bill! My toilet bowl cleaner was the last cleaning item in my house that I wasn’t 100% happy with the ingredients. I’ve also seen an option to use the Thieves Automatic Dishwashing Powder to clean your toilet bowl but I didn’t have any on hand to give it a go!

I’ve made toilet bombs before but they don’t get at the rim of the toilet bowl. With this squirt bottle I’m able to aim where the cleaning action goes and I can still use a toilet bomb if it’s a super grungy tank!

Let me know in the comments what you think! What’s your one DIY item that you never thought you’d make? This toilet bowl cleaner is definitely it for me!
